suckin’ & blowin’
Suckin’ & Blowin’ is a piece made with English musician / composer / performer Seamus Cater, who lives and works in the Netherlands. It was made as a long distance collaboration, trading files online, with Seamus based in Amsterdam while I was living in San Francisco. Seamus provided gorgeous long samples of harmonica tones, using Supercollider software I stretched and digitally massaged them into the final piece.
Disquiet, when writing about it, said the piece is a, “kind of monastic zone-out realm, with overlapping patterns of round tones that echo Terry Riley’s minimalist mysticism”. -Disquiet.com
